Rodney Feaster, 69, of Big Spring died Thursday, April 9, 2020. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Trinity Memorial Park with Clark Tatum, minister of 14th and Main Church of Christ, officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Rodney was born April 23, 1950 in Colorado City and was a lifetime resident of the Big Spring area. He graduated from Sands High School at Ackerly. He had farmed, worked in power line construction, and the Big Spring State Hospital. He was a member of the 14th and Main Church of Christ. He married Nancy Lewis on September 30, 2003. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2010. He loved fishing, gardening, and four wheeling in the country, but most of all family gatherings.
Rodney is survived by two sons: Shannon Feaster (Tarie) of Big Spring, and Michael Feaster (James Clark) of Coahoma; one daughter: Zundalane Michelle Rodriguez (Luis) of Big Spring; four brothers: Rendle Feaster of Big Spring, Ronney Feaster (Sheri) of Glen Rose, Stan Feaster (Bruce) of Strawn, and Larry Feaster (Mary) of Chicago; two sisters: Belenda Riley of Odessa and Londa Fellows of Midland; 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents: Verna Ruth Boen Feaster and Lonnie Almon Feaster; one grandson: Tary Lee Feaster; two great granddaughters: Gabby Baltazar and Elizabeth Grace Flentge. Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Smith, Vance Smith, Clayton Smith, Poncho Narbiaz, Edward Kennemur, and Jessie Metcalf. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
