Mary Ferrell, 74, of Big Spring died Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Rev. Doug Shelley, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
Mary was born September 11, 1937, in Webb City, Missouri to Alice and Harold Riddle.
She came to Big Spring in 1973 from England.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Assembly of God.
Mary is survived by two sons: David Ferrell and his wife Maria of Hamilton, Alabama, and Danny Ferrell and his wife Donna of Big Spring; three daughters: Debbie McCain and her husband Jimmie, and Denise Ferrell, all of Big Spring, and Diane Fulton and her husband Tim of Lubbock; three grandsons: Jason McCain and his wife Amanda of Commerce, Brian Ferrell of San Angelo, and Jacob McCain and his Fiancée Devin Adamson of Big Spring; one granddaughter: Nicole Fulton of Allen; two sisters: Frances Michelle of Webb City, Missouri and Jeanie Hart of Joplin, Missouri; one brother: Ronnie Riddle and his wife Judy of Webb City, Missouri; and two sisters-in-law: Glenda Shaw and her husband Jay of Webb City, Missouri and Doris Donham and her husband Wayne of Carl Junction, Missouri.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Roy Andrew Ferrell on July 17, 2004.
The family suggests memorials to Gideon's International, Big Spring Camp #U42060, P. O. Box 133, Big Spring, Texas 79721-0133.
Pallbearers will be Jason McCain, Brian Ferrell, Jacob McCain, David White, Cliford Goff, and Bob Chase. Honorary pallbearers will be Juan Jojola, Bobby McDaniel, and Jim Fort.
Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
