Jean Harrison Fidler, 74, of Midland, died on Saturday, April 20, 2002, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, April 22, 2002, in the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Steven Calley, pastor of Assembly in Christ Church of Midland, officiating.

She was born on June 22, 1927 in Terrell, Oklahoma to George Lewis Harrison and Annie Lea Tindol Harrison and married Ralph E. Fidler on August 17, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He preceded her in death in February of 1985.

She had lived most of her life in Texas and Nevada before moving to Midland in 1991.

Jean retired in January 2001, from the Senior Texas Employment Program, where she was a receptionist for Midland Neighborhood Housing.

Jean loved her family and friends dearly and fought this last battle with great courage and unending inspiration to those she loved.

She was a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, Theresa Winn of Midland; one son, David Yeater of Houston; three granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Wanda McDaniel of Big Spring, Robyn and Bob Shearer of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Jennifer Lynn Yeater of Colmesneill; three grandsons and granddaughter-in-law, Tommy McDaniel of Houston, Steven and Lois McDaniel of Big Spring, and Saig Edward Yeater of Colmesneill; three great granddaughters, Keira Creswell Morgan Mitchem and Mary Ashley McDaniel all of Big Spring; two great grandsons, Regan Creswell and Seth Mitchem both of Big Spring, three brothers, Alvie Harrison and Clinton Harrison both of Big Spring and Wayne Harrison of Orange; four sisters, Faye Warren of Coahoma, Pauline Stout of Illinois, Elsie Blanks of Roanoke, Virginia and Garnett Johnson of Comanche.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Lewis Lavorn Harrison, J.W. Harrison and Clifton C. Harrison.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 PM Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to: The Allison Cancer Center, 301 N. N Street, Midland, Texas 79701 or Hospice of Midland, P.O. Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702.
