Annie Laurie “Ann” Fox, 93, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
She was born February 26, 1925 in Stanton, Texas to Walter Curtis and Annie Mary Peters Flanagan and married Ralph LeRoy Fox October 9, 1951 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death in 1976.
Ann attended nursing school in Dallas and worked as a registered nurse for many years. She volunteered at the Veterans Administration Medical Center and volunteered at Spring Tabernacle for 13 years.
Ann was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
Survivors include two sons, Steven Fox and wife, Marva of Shelbyville, Tennessee, and Michael Fox of Big Spring; two daughters, Judy Sprowl and husband, Loren of Indiana, and Nora Woodard and husband, Gene of Alabama; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Franks; and a sister-in-law, Billie Flanagan both of Stanton. She is also survived by the residents and staff at Park Place Retirement Center where she lived the last several years.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, David Fox; her brother, Curtis Flanagan; two grandsons, Jonathan LeRoy Allen and Joshua David Fox; her sister-in-law, Ruth Roach; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Roach.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerrell Shane Sprowl, Douglas Sprowl, Jeremy Hamilton, Daniel Allen, James Myers and Chris Fox.
The family suggests memorials to Isaiah 58, 809 Scurry St., Big Spring, Texas 79720
