Funeral services for 85-year-old Georgia Espinosa Galindo of Lamesa were at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lamesa Church of Christ with Marcelino Banda officiating.

Burial followed at Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.

Georgia passed away early Sunday morning, July 24, 2011, in Odessa.

She was born on November 28, 1925 in Edna, Texas to Julio and Catarina Espinosa. Georgia married Pete Galindo Sr. on July 17, 1943 in Port Lavaca, Texas, and they moved to Lamesa in 1958.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Julio and Catalina Espinosa; her husband, Pete Galindo Sr. in 1988; and her son, Casey Galindo in 1964.

Georgia worked as a seamstress for Dotty Dan children's clothing manufacturer in Lamesa from 1964 to 1977, and for Collin's Department Store from 1977 to 1988 and also The Pampered Lady from 1987 to 1999. She was a member of the North 14th Street Lamesa Church of Christ. Georgia will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her three sons, Pete Galindo Jr. and wife, Vera, of Kermit, Ernest Galindo and wife, Ramona, of Odessa and Ray Galindo and wife, Irene, of Lamesa; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
