A Catholic funeral mass service will be celebrated for Alberto G. Garcia, Sr. age 79 of Midland, TX., and formerly of Lamesa, TX., at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Chacko Thadathil officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Rosary prayer services will be held on both nights at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Alberto passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021 in Midland, TX. He was born on April 8, 1942 in Lamesa, TX. Alberto married Gloria Lopez on November 6, 1971 in Lamesa, TX.
Alberto was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lopez Garcia on November 26, 2019; his parents, Raymundo and Maria Garcia; his brothers, Abdon, Alfredo, and Einess Garcia; his sister, Rosa Garcia.
Alberto was a laborer until his retirement. He was a full-time musician, songwriter and music composer. He was a founding member of the Lamesa Knights of Columbus Council 7953 organization. Alberto was a member of the Catholic Church.
Alberto is survived by his son, Albert Garcia, Jr and wife Cindy of Midland, TX., and his daughter, Gloriane Fernandez and husband Joe of Wylie, TX.; his grandchildren, Delilah Mendez and husband Santiago of Lamesa, TX., Destiny Garica (Enrique) of Midland, TX., Gabby Fernandez of Wylie, TX., Kiana Qualls (KJ) of Midland, Dannika Garcia, Zoe Garcia, all of Midland, TX.; his great-grandchildren, Kaylyn Moore, Mary Hibdon, Lily Ruiz, Zeirah Medina, Aaliya Qualls, Khloe Qualls; his siblings, Gloria Tejeda, Alfredo Garcia, Yolanda Hernandez, Lile Gonzalez, Raymundo Garcia, Jr., Lupe Ramirez, Rudy Garcia, Delia Gonzalez; numerous relatives and friends.

The burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, TX.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Gonzales Funeral Home with a Rosary prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel.
Gloria passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 in Midland, TX. She was born on July 20, 1946 in Lamesa, TX. Gloria married Alberto Garcia on November 6, 1971 in Lamesa, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ysabel (YB) Lopez and Marciana Lopez; her brothers, Flabio Lopez, Felipe Lopez, and Fred Lopez; her sisters, Pauline Lopez, and Lucia Garcia.
Gloria enjoyed cooking and being a seamstress. She loved music, especially her son Albert Garcia's music. She loved spending time with her precious grandchildren and was a previous member of Catholic Daughter's. Gloria will truly be missed.
Gloria is survived by her loving family, her husband, Alberto Garcia, Sr. of Lamesa, TX.; her son, Albert Garcia, Jr. and wife, Cindy Garcia of Midland, TX.; her daughter, Gloriane Fernandez and husband, Joe Fernandez of Wylie, TX.; her brothers, Johnny Lopez of Midland, TX., Ysabel Lopez, Jr. of Lubbock, TX., and Rudy Lopez of Midland, TX.; her sisters, Virginia Vasquez of Monahans, TX., Dora Toscano of Lamesa, TX., Teresa Rodriguez of Monahans, TX. and Dora Lopez of Lamesa, TX.; her grandchildren, Destiny Garcia, Delilah Mendez, Gabriella Fernandez, Kiana Garcia, Dannika Garica, and Zoe Garcia; great-grand-daughters, Kaylynn Moore, Maria Hibdon, Lily Fernandez, Aaliya Qualls, Zeirah Medina; numerous relatives and friends
