Funeral services for Petra Garcia, 87, of Lamesa, are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating.
Burial will follow at Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Rosary services are set for 7 p.m. both Thursday and Friday at Gonzales Funeral Home.
Mrs. Garcia died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 17, 2010, at her residence in Lamesa.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1923 in Slaton. She married Euginio Garcia in 1940 in Sinton.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Elijio and Simona Molina; and a son, Elijio Garcia.
Survivors include her husband, Euginio Garcia of Lamesa; five sons, Pete Garcia, Eugene Garcia and Manuel Garcia, all of Lamesa, Marcello Garcia of Victoria and Juan Garcia of Big Spring; two daughters, Simona Moreno and Lupe Perales, both of Lamesa; 44 grandchildren; and 70 great-grandchildren.
