Funeral services for Jana Lynn Jarrett Gary, 55, of Lamesa will be held Saturday 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Brother Pat Githens officiating and Pastor Jim Medley officiating. Due to social distancing service attendance is limited. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Jana passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in Lubbock.
She was born October 13, 1964 in Lamesa, Texas to Johnnie Anderson and Alma Joyce (Olds) Jarrett. She married Mark Gary in Welch, Texas on October 28, 1982. She was in the healthcare profession for over thirty years. She received a master’s degree as a nurse practitioner and loved serving her patients. She loved serving others and singing which brought her so much joy. But most of all she loved spending time with her loving family.
Jana is survived by her children, Braxton Paul Gary and wife, Kristen Denise of Lamesa and Bethanie M’Lee Schaefer and husband, Harrsion of Slaton; husband, Mark Gary of Lamesa; mother, Alma Joyce Stokes and husband, Larie Don of Lubbock; brother, Alvin Anderson Jarrett and wife, Stacey of Lamesa; grandkids, Saralyn Juliet Gary, Myles Edison Gary, Hailey Danielle Schaefer, Hudson Duke Schaefer and Hardin Dale Schaefer; nieces and nephews, Cortney Daye Fielder, Morgan Nicole Jarrett, Jacob Larie Jarrett, Colby Myler Fielder, Lane Allen Coulter, and Lyndsey Ryan Fielder; and numerous great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and nephew, Jade Anderson Jarrett. The family suggests memorials to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital 2222 Welbourne St, Dallas, TX.
