Funeral services for Anna Goertzen, age 64 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Neil Fehr officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Goertzen was born in Mexico on May 26, 1959 to Helena (Zacharias) and Jacob Loewen. She married Isidro Goertzen in Seminole on May 24, 1982. She was a member of Old Colony Mennonite Church and baptized on May 31, 1981. Anna Goertzen was a homemaker and the fifth oldest of her siblings.
Mrs. Goertzen passed away June 14, 2023 at Seminole Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, one brother, one sister, and one grandson. She is survived by her husband, Isidro Goertzen of Seminole, Texas; two daughters, Tina Guenter and husband Peter of Kansas, and Sara Enns and husband Rodolfo of Seminole, Texas; three brothers, Jake Loewen and wife Tina of Mexico, Peter Loewen and wife Anna of Kansas, and Abram Loewen and wife Susie of Paris, Texas; six sisters, Mary Peters and husband Henry of Canada, Aganetha Heide and Helen Penner and husband Ben, both of Mexico, Tina Loewen and husband Daniel of Canada, Susie Wiebe and husband Peter of Kansas, and Sara Froese and husband Frank of Seminole, Texas; and seven grandchildren.
