Funeral services for Phyllis Ann Grissom, 71 of Lamesa will be held on Friday January 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church with Bro. Dee Woolam officiating. Interment will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 2, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home. Phyllis passed away on December 31, 2013 in Lamesa.
She was born on March 30, 1942 in Lamesa to Garland and Grayce (Wood) Maxwell. Phyllis married L.E. Grissom in 1980 in Lamesa. He preceded her in death in 1980; they were married for 9 months. Phyllis was a very involved member at Northside Baptist Church where she worked as the church clerk for over 40 years. Every Friday evening she met with her fellow widow friends that named themselves "The Wild Bunch" and they went out to dinner and played cards.
She is survived by her children, Tiffany Parker of Lamesa, Stacy Maxwell and wife, Brandy of Pampa, and Carey Maxwell and wife, Debra of Burleson; sister, Sidney Cobb and husband, C.D. of Edgewood; brother, Billy Maxwell and wife, Doris of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Mandy and Trent Lee, Swade Draper, Channing Parker, Jeremy Maxwell, Derrick Maxwell, Katherine Maxwell, Brandon Maxwell; and great-grandchildren, D'Lylah, Jazmyne, Karsyn, and Lexi Lee. Phyllis is also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Steffany Almand; and sister, Irene Barr. The family suggests memorials to Northside Baptist Church, 406 N. 12th St., Lamesa, TX, 79331, and American Heart Association 2514 82nd St., Ste B, Lubbock, TX, 79423.

Steffany Marlo Allmand of Lamesa died on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the age of 45. She was born June 13, 1967 in Lamesa. Steffany worked as a nurse and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Lamesa.
Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters Mandy Lee and husband Trent of Lubbock, Kaitlin Moore of Bronte; and son, Swade Draper and wife Michele of Midland; mother, Phyllis Grissom; three brothers, Stacy Maxwell and wife Brandy of Pampa, Carey Maxwell and wife Debbie of Burleson, and Buddy Wayne Maxwell and wife Melinda of Palestine; two sisters, Tiffany Parker of Lamesa and Sandra Knight and husband Doug of Houston; four grandchildren, D'lyliah, Jazmyn, Karsyn, and Lexi Lee.
Steffany was preceded in death by her father, Walter Louis Maxwell.
Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Northside Baptist Church in Lamesa.
