Funeral mass for Roberto Rendon Guajardo, 84, of Lamesa will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating. Interment will follow in Dawson County Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Branon Funeral Home Chapel. Roberto passed away on June 24, 2018 in Lubbock.
He was born on June 7, 1934 in Pearsall, Texas to Enrique and Severa (Rendon) Guajardo. He married Alicia Salinas on May 26, 1955 in Dilley, Texas They were married 42 years. He was a front-end alignment specialist at Lamesa Tire & Battery for many years. He was also employed for Shook Tire and Quality Tire. He was also a lifetime member of St. Margaret Mary's Church of Lamesa. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved to travel to South Texas to visit family.
Roberto is survived by his children; Robert "Bobby" Guajardo and wife, Irma of Lubbock, Rene Guajardo of Lamesa, Velma Salazar and husband, Paul of Lubbock and Eva Guajardo and husband, Amos Hernandez of Lubbock; brothers, Joe Guajardo of Mississippi, Carmel Guajardo of Pearsall, Tanis Guajardo of Pearsall; sisters, Vicenta Bernal of Pearsall, and Petra Hinojosa of Paducah; grandchildren, Elise Ponce, Gregg Guajardo, Jerry Guajardo, Stephanie Poston, Jamie-Lynn Vela, Mykul Guajardo, Andy Ruiz, Samantha Ruiz, Alicia Guajardo, Raul Covarrubio and Angelica Segovia; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughters, Anabel Camacho, Elma Guajardo and Belinda Vera; siblings, Lorenzo Guajardo, Mary Hernandez and Cande Elizondo; great grandchildren, Kristopher Andres and Nickolas Roberto Vela.
