Hattie Mae Graham, 89, of Rockwall, formerly of Ackerly, died Friday, January 12, 2018 at her residence.
She was born May 13, 1928 in Loraine, Texas and married Auda Vee Graham March 22, 1947 in Big Spring, Texas. He preceded her in death August 8, 2009.
Hattie Mae had a short career at JC Penney while Auda Vee was serving in the army during World War II. After his return, they were married and Hattie Mae dedicated her time to raising her family. She was a loyal member of First Baptist Church Ackerly for many years, loving on babies in the nursery and serving as church secretary. She volunteered at the Big Spring State Hospital for several years as well. Hattie Mae loved sewing, counting ducks on the pond, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hattie Mae is survived by one son, Rickey Graham and wife, Susan of Comanche; one daughter, Dorinda Hill and husband, Max of Rockwall; six grandchildren, Ryan Graham and wife, Randi; Brady Hill and wife, Savannah; Whytnee Stubblefield and husband, Chris; Bronwyn Dower and husband, Josh; Cooper Daniel and Kirbi Daniel; eight great-grandchildren, Peyton, Lilie, Kyla, MaKenna, Kyle, Holden, Maxi, and Hattie.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert Benjamin and Millie Emma Wiggins; three brothers, Dois McKee, Fine Wiggins and Loyd Wiggins.
Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring, Texas Monday, January 15, 2018. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16 at First Baptist Church, Ackerly, Texas. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, Texas.
