Mary Z. Hale, 89, of Coahoma, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Snyder Oaks Care Center.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 5, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born April 24, 1924 in Ackerly, Texas to Winnie Mae (Whitmire) and John Bledsoe.

She married Jess Franklin on August 9, 1941 and he died March 5, 1975.

She then married Tolbert (Tollie) Hale on February 14, 1981 and he preceded her in death on December 7, 1995.

She was a homemaker and had sold cosmetics as well real-estate.

She has been a lifetime resident of Howard County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Coahoma.

She is survived by three sons: Kenneth Franklin of Big Spring, Douglas Franklin of Hamilton and John Franklin of Austin; one daughter: Doris McKinnon of Coahoma; 12 grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother: John Bledsoe of San Antonio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands.

Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons: Paul Gomez, David Denton, Jimmy Matthies, Chad Tidwell, Jesse Dickens, Brandon Gressett, Trey Carpenter, Tanner Franklin, Kiefer Pulis, Kaleb Denton, Kelby Denton, Eli Matthies and Garrett Cotton.
