"Home at last," Carmen Moreno Harbour, 71, went home to meet her maker 04/26/21 and greet her loved ones who await her arrival.

She was born in Big Spring, Texas to Bill and Christine Moreno.

She is a graduate of Borden County High School, Howard College, and Hardin Simmons University.

She was a deaf education interpreter for grades Pre=K through 3rd grade in Abilene. Worked for BSISD for 18 years as Administrative Support Staff. She also worked at Howard College and SWCID as an assistant to the Dean of Student Affairs and Financial Aide coordinator.

Retired May 2009 and married Jerry Harbour shortly after in July 2009.

Carmen was elected City Council Board Member May 2012 representing two terms in District 2.

Carmen was involved in various organizations both civic and religious. She volunteered for just about anything that was asked of her from the community, church community, and family. No was never an option for her when it involved service for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Carmen was a person of many talents and loved what she did to help others. Proud and devoted member if Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Natividad "Bill" Moreno and Christine Trinidad Moreno. Three sisters Olivia Moreno, Teresa Wilson, and Elvira Castillo. Grandchildren Jaylin Christine Salazar, Dalton & Payton Harbour.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Harbour. Two sons for Aron Salazar and wife Tiffany, Brandon Brooks. Two steps sons Bryan Harbour and wife Crystal, Chad Harbour and wife Cindy. Grandchildren: Justin Olague, Aden, Kade, and Kamryn Salazar. Morgan, Kerigan, Kaelon, Crystin, Hunter, and Ethan Harbour. Logan, Gavin, and Abigail Brooks. Great grandchildren: Adilyn, Justin Jr., and Jaden Olague. Presleigh and Oliver Harbour.

Brothers and Sister survivors follow: Ernest Moreno, Willie and wife Nici Moreno, Toma and wife Deborah, Gloria and husband Eusebio Mirelez, Hope and husband Arthur Lopez. Several nieces and nephews.

She was greatly loved and will be missed, but memories of her remain in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be Justin Olague, Krystian Gomez, Logan Brooks, Gavin Brooks, Abigail Brooks, Hunter Harbour, and Ethan Harbour

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kade Salazar, Kamryn Salazar Crystin Harbour, and Presleigh Garner.

Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM with her Vigil service at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.
