Lena Ellen Click Heard, 92, of Big Spring, died 20th of September, 2011. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Chirs Heard of Moorpark, Ca and Robert Thompson of Big Spring, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Lena was born September 4, 1919 in Grayson County, Texas to Rollie and Louella Click.

She married Hubbard Heard on March 31, 1939 in Durant, Oklahoma. Hubbard and Lena moved to Big Spring in 1950 and were members of the Birdwell Lane Church of Christ.

Lena took a business course at Howard College, and worked for the Borden Milk Company as their bookkeeper. Then, for several years she worked for Safeway. Later she ran a day care in her home until her retirement in 1984.

Lena is survived by her daughter Mildred Wooten and husband Henry of Corsicana, TX; her son Robert Heard and wife Wilda of Roaring Gap, N.C.; and daughter-in-law Navauda Heard of Porter, TX; one sister, Mary Lou Cooper and husband Don of Missouri City, TX; sister-in-law
Cheryl Click of Big Spring, TX; eleven grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Lena is preceded in death by her husband Hubbard Heard in 1999, and her son, Jimmy Heard in 2004; and brothers Gene Click, John Click and Glenn Click.

Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
