Billie Jene Hill, 90, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, September 19, 2018 in a local hospital.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Brad Daniels officiating.

She was born December 11, 1927 in San Angelo, Texas and moved to Big Spring in 1935. It was here where she later met and married David Hill August 15, 1950 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death March 24, 2006.

Jene was the daughter of the late C A “Slim” and Laura Louise Mosely Lane.

After David’s return from the military, Jene and David farmed and ranched several years before owning and operating the package store in the Settles Hotel and Lane’s Package Store until their retirement in 2001.

She and David enjoyed dancing at the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Elizabeth Bobo and Teresa Gonzalez.

She was also preceded in death by her parents C A “Slim” and Laura Lane and one sister Dorothy Porter.

Memorial donations are requested to go to a favorite charity.
