Funeral services for Betty Linzy, age 66 of San Angelo, Texas, will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the M.S. Doss Chapel with Pastor Matthew Dale officiating. Burial will follow at the Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Betty Linzy was born October 30, 1956 in Levelland, Texas to Pearlie Gene Dancer. She loved collecting angels and getting manicures and pedicures; she liked having a good time. Her favorite color was purple; she was strong willed and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.

Betty Linzy passed away on August 20, 2023 in Regency House in San Angelo, Texas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Howard in 2022 and one daughter-in-law.

She is survived by two sons, Jonathan Linzy of Chicago, Illinois and Howard Orphey, Jr. of San Angelo, Texas; one daughter, Priscillia David and husband Malcolm of Seminole, Texas; five brothers, Freddy Jones and wife Kasteen of Seminole, Ed Jones of Lockhart, Texas, William Jones and wife Donna of Andrews, Texas, Rex Jones and wife Cody of Kansas, and Willie Jones and wife Clarissa of Hazlet, Texas; one sister, Josephine Dale of Seminole; and seven grandchildren.
