Katy Hise, 95, of Big Spring died Wednesday, October 02, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born December 7, 1917, in Brown County, Texas to Virginia and John Griffith. She had been a resident of Big Spring since 1959, moving from Andrews County. She was employed by Howard County for a number of years as director of the county's welfare program. She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

She is survived by one daughter: Kay Burns of Big Spring; one son: Barney Hise of Coahoma; five grandchildren: Alyssa Cerney, Andi Eggers, Nick Hise, Jaclyn Hise, and Heather Hise; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Hise, son-in-law: Wayne Burns; four sisters and one brother.

Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Visitation:
5:30 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home

Service:
2:00 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel

Cemetery:
Trinity Memorial Park
