Bobbi J. Hooper, 80, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 11, 2014 at Myers & Smith Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Bobbi was born December 3, 1933 in Bonham, Texas to Allie and H.C. Moser. She married Johnnie Paul Hooper on January 21, 1950 in San Angelo, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2007. She lived most of her life in Big Spring and worked for the Department of Human Resources for over 30 years.
She is survived by one daughter: Ronda Hooper and Pete LaRochelle of Big Spring; one granddaughter: Sherida Kirby and husband Marty of Big Spring and one great granddaughter: Everley Richardson of Big Spring.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Johnny Bob Hooper on December 22, 1952; one daughter: Robyn Drinkard on October 11, 2003; one sister: Joyce Ann Moser and a brother: Ronnie "Chub" Moser April 2000.
Pallbearers will be Pete LaRochelle, Marty Kirby, David Heffington, Gary Krager, David Wood and Rusty Hightower.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Vietnam Memorial, PO Box 2854, Big Spring, TX 79721-2854 or Lone Star Doberman Rescue at www.lonestardobermans.org.
