Pat James, 95, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, April 13, 2003, in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 19, 2003, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Gene Collins, minister of Odessa South Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

He was born on April 8, 1908 in Montgomery County, Texas and married Wilma Brown on April 8, 1961 in Odessa, Texas.

Pat retired from Texas Electric in 1974 after twenty-three years of service.

He volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center and loved to shoot his slingshot.

He was a member of Cedar Ridge Church of Christ and had preached and taught Bible classes for the Churches of Christ in West Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma James of Big Spring; six daughters, Patsy Brown and husband, Clarence, of Big Spring, Creovis Brown and husband, Dan, of Fort Worth, Eva James of Orlando, Florida, Iola Monroe of Bryan and Lenora Francis and Devora Dobson both of Boston, Massachusetts; two sons, Billy James and wife, Marie, of Carson, California and Jimmy James and wife, Mary, of Abilene; a sister, Maggie Reed of Abilene; a sister-in-law, Idella James of Abilene; a daughter-in-law, Connie James; 35 grandchildren; 70 great grandchildren; 30 great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby James; two sons, Charles James and Lee James; his parents; four brothers and one sister.

*Obituary Wilma Brown James
Wilma Faye James, 77, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, August 10, 2005, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Gene Collins, minister of South Church of Christ, Odessa, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

She was born on April 18, 1928, in Lincoln, Texas and married Pat James on April 8, 1961 in Odessa, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 13, 2003.

Mrs. James came to Big Spring in 1977 from Odessa and had worked at the Big Spring State Hospital for 12 1/2 years as an LVN before retiring.

She enjoyed exercising and walking.

She was a member of Cedar Ridge Church of Christ and was active in the Big Spring Senior Citizens.

Survivors include five daughters, Patsy Brown and husband, Clarence of Big Spring, Creovis Brown and husband, Dan of Ft. Worth, Iola Monroe of Bryan, Lenora Francis and Devora Dobson both of Boston, Massachusetts; two sons, Billy James and wife, Marie of Carson, California and Jimmy James and wife, Mary of Abilene; two sisters, Norris Brown Pittman and husband, Leonard of Waco and Girlean Brown of Austin; two brothers, Rev. E.B. Brown and wife, Mattie Evelyn of Austin and Gordon V. Brown and wife, Ruth of Ft. Worth; one sister-in-law, Idella James of Abilene; 40 grandchildren; 80 great grandchildren; 40 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Eva James; her parents, Evans and Katie Brown; two sisters, Eunice Theola Brown and Alonia Crook; one brother, Alton Brown, Sr. and one great grandson, Brandon James.
