*Obituary Juan A. Jojola
Rev. Juan A. Jojola, 72, of Big Spring died Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, November 4, 2019 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Myers & Smith Chapel with Rev. Billy Guy and Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Burial with Naval Honors will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

Juan was born March 9, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico to Catherine Perez Jojola and Juan Jojola.

He came to Big Spring from Roswell in 1979 and married Lydia Perez on March 9, 1984 in Big Spring.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and of the United States Navy.

He was associate pastor of Full Gospel Fellowship.

He retired from the VA Medical Center.

He loved arrowhead hunting and deer hunting.

Juan is survived by his wife Lydia Jojola of Big Spring; five daughters: Diana Robinson of Albuquerque, NM, April Marquez of Roswell, NM, Elizabeth Franklin of Buena Park, CA, Christina Rivera of Big Spring and Marlene Rodriguez of Arlington; one brother: Larry Jojola of Big Spring; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Alexandria Carrillo; a son-in-law: Jerry Anthony, Jr., one brother: Daniel Jojola and one sister: Nora Morales and a nephew Manuel Jojola.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Montes, Richard Ruiz, Jimmie McCain, Milton Harper, Rocky Pearson and Lemont Jojola. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Rodriquez, Manuel Moreno, Gilbert Franklin, Terrance Chapman and Daniel Hilario.

Lydia Jojola, 68, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Viewing and visitation will be at Myers & Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be at Myers & Smith Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Billy Guy officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

Lydia was born on June 18, 1952 in Los Angeles, CA.

She married Juan Jojola in Big Spring.

She lived in Big Spring for 40 years.

She was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship.

Lydia was a Sunday school teacher and she loved her Sunday school kids.

She was a florist and was known as the "Mum" lady.

She made delicious tamales and loved to cook.

She loved her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her three daughters: Elizabeth Franklin, Christina Rivera, and Marlene Rodriguez; her father: Benito Perez; one sister: Bertha Moreno; two brothers: Benjamin Perez and Michael Ball; eight grandkids; and ten great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Richard Ruiz, James Moreno, Manuel Moreno, Eddie Marquez, Robert Enkasjan, Johnny Rodriguez, Gilbert Franklin, and Carlos Montes.
