*Obituary Suzanne R. Meserve Lindsey
Suzanne Lindsey, 75, of Big Spring, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 in her home. The family will receive from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Trinity Memorial Park. The funeral procession will start at the funeral home at 9:30 am.
Sue was born November 19, 1947, in Michigan where she grew up and met the love of her life, Don. She and Don moved to Big Spring while Don served in the Air Force at Webb Airforce Base; and then later came back to work at the VA Hospital in Big Spring.
Sue worked for Big Spring High School in the cafeteria and the snack bar. She had also worked for Santa Fe Sandwiches and Klassic Kleaners. She was known for crotched dresses, blankets/quilts, and her baking, canning, and cooking. She loved to do for others. She was also a volunteer for the Chalet, was involved in the Big Spring Bass Club, Elks Lodge, and the Big Spring Early Car Club. She was famous for her Texas Sheet Cake and won many grand prizes at the county fair.
She is survived by her 3 children John Lindsey and wife Sandra of Buda, Mike Lindsey and wife Dee of Big Spring and daughter Melissa Lindsey of San Angelo. Her grandchildren: Chase Lindsey (Katie Maxwell), Austin Darden, Kassey Pineda (husband Brycson), Zac Lindsey and great-grandchildren: Fallyn Henson, Beckett Lindsey and Paxton Pineda. She is also survived by one sister Patricia Hunter, five nephews, Bobby, Brian, Barry Dalgleish, John Hunter, and Russell Meserve, one niece, Shirley Meserve, and her brother-in-law, Jack Dalgleish.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband Don Lindsey, parents Hazel and Earling Meserve, brother Earl (Butch) Meserve, and sister Joan Dalgleish.
Pallbearers will be Brycson Pineda, Austin Darden, Chase Lindsey, Zac Lindsey, Tony Everett and Carl Hart.
Donations can be made to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation.
