Robert E. "Bob" "Mac" McClure, 93, of Big Spring, died on Monday, December 3, 2007, in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 6, 2007 at the Grace Fellowship Church of God with his step grandson, Rev. John Conger, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM TO 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born on December 20, 1913, in Millersview, Texas and married Aubrey Mae Riggins Weatherby on August 5, 1992 in Big Spring.

Mr. McClure was proud of his service in the United States Army during World War II and had spent time as a POW.

He was an avid gardener and had done landscaping for many people through the years.

He loved to fish, work on small engine projects, visit with friends, and being involved in his church.

He especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Aubrey Mae Weatherby McClure of Big Spring; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Chris Carter, Gracie and David Dolan, and Bobbie and Lloyd Waltenbaugh all of Big Spring; four step children, Ruby Payne and Fred Weatherby both of Big Spring, Luther Weatherby and wife, Joyce of Angleton, and Brenda Robertson and husband, Gene of Lake Brownwood; one sister, Jeanette Wolfman of Lovington, New Mexico; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fay McClure; his parents, and several brothers and sisters.

Aubrey "Abby" Mae Weatherby McClure, 81, of Midland, formerly of Big Spring, died on Sunday, October 18, 2009, at her residence in Midland.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with her grandson, Rev. John Conger, pastor of Westview Church of god in Odessa and Rev. F. M. Small, a retired Church of God pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

She was born on March 3, 1928, in Bogata, Texas.

She married Clayton Weatherby on March 3, 1948 in Big Spring and he preceded her in death in 1989. She then married Robert McClure on August 5, 1992 in Big Spring and he preceded her in death in December of 2007.

She and her late husband, Clayton Weatherby were co-owners of Weatherby Iron and Metals for about 25 years.

She returned to school to get her GED at 56 years of age and went on to complete two years of college.

She became a dietary technician for a Midland nursing home for the next ten years before retiring.

She was a member of Westview Church of God in Odessa.

Survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law, Luther and Joyce Weatherby of New Braunfels and Fred and Amy Weatherby of Big Spring; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ruby Fay Payne of Big Spring and Brenda and Phillip Ervin of Midland; three sisters, Lucille Dooley of Belton, Colleen Todd of Midland and Zula Chappell of Kosse; two brothers, Ben Riggins of Muskogee, Oklahoma and James Riggins of Hobbs, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Rev. John Conger of Odessa, Rebekah Overton, Sherman Moseley, Darrin Weatherby and Justin Weatherby all of Big Spring and Brian Young of Plano; and numerous great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Albert Weatherby; one grandson, Brad Weatherby; and four sisters, Betty Whitt, Virginia Gray, Barbara Enelow and Janelle Pedigo; and two sons-in-law, Paul Payne and Gene Robertson.
