*Obituary Iris Elizabeth Turner McGlothlin
Iris Elizabeth McGlothlin 89, of Big Spring passed away November 8, 2011. She was born in Bartlett, Texas August 8, 1922. She married Carl McGlothlin January 16, 1946, in Temple, Texas.

Their first home was in Yokohama, Japan. She and Carl loved to travel and toured Europe as well as the United States. They moved to Big Spring in the fall of 1962 and became active members of First Baptist Church. She also was a life member of Eastern Star and a past Worthy Matron.

She is survived by her daughter, Ayn, and husband Dave Canning. She has three granddaughters, Kathryn, and her husband John Ivey; Heather, and her husband Brad Coats; and Kimberly and her husband Daniel Blackaby. Iris had three great grandchildren: Hannah Ivey, Jet and Brittney Coats. She also is survived by many nieces and nephews. She is dearly missed by her Papillion companion, Tybalt. In honor of her wishes, there will not be any service. Her request was for her friends and family to say \"I love you\" to someone and remember happy times spent together. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Scenic Mountain Medical Center, the Lamun Lusk Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home, Home Hospice, and her family at First Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Pay your respects online at www.myersandsmith.com
