Delia Medina passed away on October 29, 2021 at the age of 82, at her residence.
Delia was a mother, grandmother, friend, and community member of Howard County where she lived with her late husband David Medina for over 50 years.
Delia was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico and spent her earlier years working as a cook at various restaurants around Big Spring.
She often spent her free time cheering on her granddaughters at various sports and extracurricular events in Coahoma.
In her later years, you could find her sitting on her porch waving at the cars she recognized as they passed her home or chatting with friends while grocery shopping.
She was loved and admired by her family, friends and anyone who she crossed paths with for her outgoing personality, humor, and honesty.
She was preceded in death by her husband; David Medina and their son; Juan Medina Her father; Raul Gonzalez her brothers; Roberto Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez Jr., Abran Gonzales, Eladio Torres, J. Javi Gonzalez and her sisters; Alicia G. Espinoza, Delia M. G. Aguilar, and Anna M. G. Vento.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law; John and Sally Medina her granddaughter; Mia Medina and her husband Michael Kennedy her four step grandchildren; Bianca Correa, Reagan Rupard, Amanda Sauceda, Lorene Tincher her mother; M. Isabel Gonzalez and her sisters; Gabriela O. Hendricks and Emma G. Gonzalez.
Her cheerful attitude and presence will be missed by her family and community.
Delia's life will be honored and celebrated at Myers & Smith where her funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 2:00pm internment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 2nd from 9:00am to 9:00pm.
