Mrs. Luther (Ruth) Meek, 50, died in a local hospital at 9:45 p.m. Monday.
The services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday but the site hadn't been determined this morning. Dr. Claude Craven, pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park under the direction of Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home.
Mrs. Meek was born Jan. 11, 1924, in Columbia, La. She married Luther Meek Sept. 1, 1967. She has been a resident of Big Spring since that time, having moved here from Houston.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, a daughter, Sandra Dean, Houston; a son, Charles Randal Honeycott, Big Spring; a stepson, Millard Ray Meek, Chicago, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Jowers, Shreveport, La.; two brothers, William Grady Berry, Pollock, La., and Ernest Franklin Berry, Kermit; a sister, Lucille Hensen, Houston; six grandchildren.
