Larry R. Miller, 69, of Midland, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 in a Big Spring nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Dr. Randy Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.

He was born August 15, 1947 in Big Spring, and married Marie Strickland May 28, 1968 in Big Spring.

Larry graduated from Big Spring High School in 1965 and from Howard College in 1967. He received his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in 1970 from Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He returned to Big Spring in 1970 and became a partner in Carver’s Pharmacy, and in 1974 he and Vic Keys became the owners. Larry served on the Big Spring City Council from 1979 to 1986 and also served as a reserve police officer for a number of years. In 1996 he sold the pharmacy and moved to Midland. He worked at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa for 14 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed playing golf, and hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Miller of Midland; two daughters, Carol Jeter and husband, Steve and Meredith Burgess and husband, Tommy all of Midland; one son, Shane Miller of Big Spring; and five grandchildren, Presley Miller, Danielle Jeter, Jensen Jeter, Breeana Jeter and Tyler Burgess.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Ellen Miller.

Anna Marie Miller, 67, of Midland, formerly of Big Spring, died Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Midland after losing her battle with COPD.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Randy Cotton officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the funeral home.

Marie was born January 9, 1950 to Dutch and Myrtle Strickland in San Angelo and grew up in Forsan.

She married Larry Miller May 28, 1968 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death December 24, 2016.

They lived in Big Spring from 1970 until 1995 when they moved to Midland.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Big Spring.

She loved Bingo, Las Vegas, and her two schnauzers Rufus and Scooter.

She is survived by a son, Shane Miller of Big Spring; two daughters, Carol Jeter and husband, Steve and Meredith Burgess and husband, Tommy all of Midland; five grandchildren, Presley Miller, Danielle Jeter, Jensen Jeter-LeClear and husband, Justin, Breeana Jeter, and Tyler Burgess and wife, Aimee; a brother, Eddie Strickland and wife, Linda of Odessa; two sisters, Janette Cunningham and husband, Larry of Lubbock, and Virginia Stanton of Lewisville; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eugene Strickland and Elbert Strickland; and two sisters, Elizabeth Staley and Evelyn Morgan.
