Funeral Mass for Maria Perez, age 54 of Seminole, Texas, will be celebrated Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Friday, January 26, 2024 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ms. Perez was born in Floydada, Texas on December 24, 1969 to Maria (Bazan) and Encarnacion Perez. Maria was a Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching Tik-tok videos and scary movies, traveling, and cooking. She loved her family dearly, and especially loved her dogs.
Maria Perez passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her father and one brother. She is survived by her partner, Marcus Goree of Seminole, Texas; two sons, Anthony Goree, and Jonah Goree, both of Seminole, Texas; her mother, Maria Perez of Seminole; one brother, Alejandro Perez and wife Maryann of Seminole; one sister, Joanna Rodriguez and husband John of Seminole; one nephew, four nieces, and one grandchild, Braxton Jordan Eudean Goree of Seminole.
