Funeral services for Diedrich Friessen, age 62 of Seminole will be held Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Janzen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Friessen was born in Mexico on July 22, 1961 to Katarina (Krahn) and Abraham Friessen. He married Susana Friessen in Mexico in July 22, 1983. He was a member of Old Colony Mennonite Church and worked as a machine operator at JNL.

Diedrich Friessen passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023 at University Medical Center in Lubbock . In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, John Friessen.

He is survived by his wife, Susana Friessen of Seminole; four sons, Abraham Friessen and wife Maria of Mexico, Franz Friessen, John Friessen and wife Eva, and Ricky Friessen and wife Yolanda, all of Seminole; one daughter, Anna Penner and husband Peter of Paris, Texas; one brother, Abe Friessen and wife Tina of Canada; seven sisters, Eva Loewen and husband John of Canada, Anna Loewen and husband Peter of Kansas, Tina Kroeker and husband Diedrich of Canada, Lena Wall and husband Ben of Canada, Susana Martens, and husband Henry and Lisa Wieler and husband Jake, both of Seminole, and Margaret Hildebrant and husband Henry of Canada, and nine grandchildren.
