*Obituary La Nell Jones Thompson Morgan
La Nell Morgan, 83, of Big Spring, died Saturday, August 10, 2019 in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Royce Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the funeral home.

She was born March 6, 1936 in Mitchell County to Anson and Velma Jones.

She was a longtime member of 14th and Main Church of Christ and loved her church family. She was also active with the Red Hat Ladies.

She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes.

She worked as a bank teller at Wells Fargo and First National Bank, retiring after 30 years.

She is survived by 2 sons, Ricky Moore of Lincoln, Montana and Rex Moore of Big Spring; a daughter, Renee Thompson, of Carlsbad, California; a sister, Joyce Middleton of Abilene; and 3 granddaughters, Tammy Moore, Juliane Balog, and Hope Balog.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands, Bob Thompson, and Marion Earl Morgan; a brother, Clayton Jones; and a sister, Oleta Alhfield.

The family requests memorials to 14th and Main Church of Christ, 1401 S Main St, Big Spring, TX 79720.
