Janis Neighbors, 80, of Big Spring died Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Scott Kirkland, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
Janis was born January 23, 1940, in Lubbock, to Zaola and Paul Barfield.
She was a lifetime resident of Howard County and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was a homemaker, but she also worked at the Big Spring State Hospital.
Janis is survived by two daughters: Larenda Larson and her husband David of Big Spring, and Verna Toscano and her husband Guido of Arlington; daughter-in-law: Nora Gamble of Coahoma; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister: Viola Norman and her husband Jimmie of Big Spring.
In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her husband: Aubrey Neighbors; one son: Clay Gamble; and one brother: Kenneth Barfield.
