Viola Barfield Norman, 78, of Big Spring died Thursday, January 21, 2021.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Myers & Smith Chapel with Scott Kirkland, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.

Viola was born on January 5, 1943, in Lubbock to Zaola and Paul Barfield.

She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and a woman of great strength and faith.

She worked at Malone Hogan Clinic and Sun Billing for many years.

She was retired and enjoying spending it with the great love of her life, Jimmie Norman.

Viola loved and saved many rescue dogs. She adored her four-legged babies.

Viola was so kind, thoughtful and loving to everyone she met and she never met a stranger.

Family was everything to her and she will be so very missed by all who loved her.

Viola is survived by her loving husband: Jimmie; her daughter: Carla Jinks and her husband Jim of Keller; her son: Rodney Gamble of Abilene; her grandsons: Chase Martin and his wife Priscilla and their children: Olive and Beau, Chad Martin and fiancé Julia; step-daughter: Debbie Walker and her husband Cory and their children; step-son: Eric and his wife Candy and their children; sister in law: Linda Alexander and her husband Larry; brother in law: James Norman and his wife and many dear lifelong friends that she loved.

In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her son: Tony Gamble; her brother: Kenneth Barfield and her sister: Janis Neighbors.
