Lucille "Lu" Norris, 82, of Big Spring, died Sunday, July 27, 2014 in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Binnix, pastor, and Rev. Marvin Hale, pastor of the Northside Baptist Church in Santa Anna, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Lu was born June 19, 1932 in Santa Anna, Texas and married Bill Norris June 9, 1950 in Lovington, New Mexico.

Lu came to Big Spring in 1960 and had worked for First Federal Savings and Loan for 31 years, retiring as vice-president in 1992.

She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for 40 years.

Survivors her husband, Bill Norris of Big Spring; one daughter, Rhonda Maltsberger and husband, Gary of Abilene; one grandson, Nick Reagan and wife, Britney of Abilene; three great-grandchildren, Grayson, Bryson and Addyson; and one brother, Alton Carter and wife, Lorene of Lamesa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel C. and Mary Jane Carter; three sisters, Lou Ellen Bland, Viola Smith and Ruby Bland; and seven brothers, Andrew Carter, James Carter, Robert Carter, Wayne Carter, Earl Carter, Lloyd Carter and Bill Carter.

The family suggests memorials to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th St., Suite A, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
