*Obituary Ruth L. McBeth Oppegard
Ruth Oppegard, 91, of Big Spring died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Friday at Trinity Memorial Park.

Ruth was born September 11, 1921, in Pennsylvania to Irene and William McBeth.

She was a veteran of the army during World War II, serving in the Air Corps.

She married Moran Oppegard on October 4, 1945 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He preceded her in death on January 14, 2004.

She was a homemaker and a member of Alive In Christ Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son: Kal Oppegard and his wife Vickie of Sand Springs; two daughters: Jane O'Brien and her husband John of Big Spring and Nancy Hamilton and her husband Keith of Salemburg, North Carolina; one brother: Gene McBeth and his wife Stella of Seminole; half-brother: Jack McBeth of Pennsylvania; two half-sisters: Lois Ciletti and Phyllis Teaters, both of Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren: Jeff O'Brien, Jason O'Brien and his wife Jenny, Denver Oppegard and his wife Cindy, Jud Oppegard and his wife Kelli, Ingrid Burgess and her husband Vince, Melanie Hamilton, Amy Oppegard, and Whitney Gressett and her husband Caleb; nine great grandchildren: Cayley Oppegard, Macey Oppegard, Dawson Oppegard, Weston Oppegard, Anna Burgess, Benjamin Burgess, Dylan Acock, and Rose O'Brien; one great granddaughter: Derik Acock, and another great grandchild due in April.
