Kennith Osburn, 70, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 21 at his residence.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 24 at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, May 23 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

He was born April 16, 1936, to Dovie and Charles Osburn in Menard.

He was a retired sheet metal foreman and was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and the Eagles Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Fran Osburn of Big Spring; three sons, Billy Osburn and Bobby Osburn, both of Big Spring, and Kennith Osburn of Silsbee; three daughters, Sherida Tredaway and Saletta Tilley, both of Big Spring, and Cheryl Rice of Garland; one brother; three sisters; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Fran Osburn, 76, of Big Spring died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Rev. Doug Shelley, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel.

Fran was born September 10, 1932, in Westbrook to Ollie and Tommy Davenport.

She moved to Big Spring in 1970 from Colorado City.

Fran graduated from Howard College in 1979, as a registered nurse and worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center for fifteen years.

On July 3, 1994, Fran married Kennith Osburn in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2006.

In 2006, the VAMC presented Fran with the first annual Hands and Heart award.

Fran was a member of the East Side Baptist Church and an active member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary and was a past Madam President.

Fran is survived by two daughters: Sherida Tredaway and her husband Mike, and Saletta Tilley and her husband Tommy, all of Big Spring; one brother: Sonny Davenport of Brazoria; four sisters: Betty Justice of Kenly, North Carolina, Ruby Carter of Colorado City, Jo Moore of Midland, and Shirley Bradbury of Colorado City; four grandchildren: Tonya Watson and her husband Bryan, Cody Tredaway and his wife Kelli, and Stephen Tilley and his wife Camie, all of Big Spring, and Wes Crow and his wife Carrie of Lubbock; seven great grandchildren: Dylan Tredaway, Averi Tredaway, Taelyn Crow, Keeley Tilley, Kaidie Saverance, Kolby Watson, and Novalee Lange.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Fran was preceded in death by one brother: Thomas Glenn Davenport.

Pallbearers will be Howard Osburn, Roy Williams, David Campbell, Gary Gillihan, Art Williams, and Glen Scott.
