Martha Plunkett, 91, of Amarillo, formerly of Big Spring, died Monday, July 12, 2021.

She will lie in state Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Memorial Park with Reverend Brad Daniels officiating.

Martha was born on October 30, 1929 in Alabama.

She married Bill Plunkett in Alabama on August 2, 1950. He died April 18, 1982.

She lived in Big Spring from 1967 until she moved to Amarillo in June, 2001.

She was a member of the Paramount Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by one son: Stephen Plunkett of Amarillo; one daughter: Sharon Grant of Big Spring; three grandsons: Joey Grant and wife Sally of Big Spring, David Grant of Big Spring and Michael Grant and wife Teresa of Big Spring; and several great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Gertrude Geneva Gentry Harrison and Thomas R. Harrison; husband: Bill Plunkett; son-in-law: Jimmy Grant; and six brothers.
