Shirley Muse, 61, of Albuquerque, formerly of Big Spring died Sunday November 3, 2013 at University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque after a long battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p. m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Reverend Derrick Looney officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born May 24, 1952 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Edna Ruth Mclaughlin and William Harold Pope.

She was a bookkeeper and a Baptist.

She is survived by one daughter Jennifer Boatright of Houston; two sons: Christopher Boatright and wife Jodi of Lubbock and Lance Webb of Haskell; three sisters Nata Woods and husband Bill of Geary, Oklahoma, Sharon Cavazos and husband Paul of San Antonio and Linda Staples and husband Dennis of Big Spring; three brothers: Michael Thompson of Staughton, Virginia, James Pope and wife Mary and Derrill W. Pope and wife Cherie all of Big Spring and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers are David Pope, Lance Webb, Dan Thomas, Curtis James, Keegan Reed and Justin McKenzie.
