*Obituary Helen Marie Vaughn Priddy
Helen Marie (Vaughn) Priddy, of Midland, TX went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, August 10, 2021. She was 89 years old.

She was born December 17, 1931 in Paducah, TX to Luther Elbert ("Pete") and Alice Pauline Vaughn.

She was a 1949 graduate of Amherst High School in Amherst, Texas.

She married Donald C. Priddy, also of Amherst, on January 21, 1951 – a union that lasted 59 years.

After their marriage they moved to College Station, TX where Donald graduated in 1957 and their daughter, Druanne was born. After graduation they moved to Memphis, TN where Donald worked at the National Cotton Council, and where Pamela Gaye was born. In 1960 the family moved to Alamogordo, NM, where their son Ritchie Don was born. In 1961 they moved to Harlingen, TX where Melinda Lee was born. They moved to Big Spring in 1964 when Donald took a job with Hesston Corporation, where he was a territory manager until 1985. Helen worked as the pastor's secretary at First Baptist Church for many years. The couple lived in Big Spring for 44 years, and moved to Fulshear, TX in 2008. Donald passed away in 2010. Helen was an active member of the Simonton Community Church from 2008 until April 2021. Helen moved to Midland in 2021 to be near children and grandchildren.

She is survived by their four children: Druanne Walker and husband Gary, of Midland, TX; Pam Priddy and husband Travis Jenks, of Terlingua, TX; Ritchie Priddy and wife Tammi of St. Francisville, LA; and Melinda Rimer and husband Chip of Denver, CO. Helen and Don were the proud grandparents of ten grandchildren: Kenny Cotten; Michael Cotten; Alice (Cotten) Reynolds; Ben Priddy; Aaron Priddy; Kirsten McMurray; Meredith McMurray; Brooke Jenks; Chase Rimer; and Kate (Rimer) Whiddon. They also had nine great-grandchildren: Liam Cotten; Landon Cotten; Michael Cotten, Jr; Colton Cotten; Ava Claire Reynolds; Isla Reynolds; Crew Reynolds; Sofia Marie Priddy; and Amelia Grace Priddy.

Visitation and services will be held Wednesday, August 18th at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Big Spring beginning at 10 a.m. The service will begin at 11 a.m., with Dennis Etheredge officiating.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Cotten, Michael Cotten, Zach Reynolds, Travis Jenks, Chip Rimer, Gary Walker, Daniel Whiddon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Priddy, Aaron Priddy, and Chase Rimer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Simonton Community Church Quilting Ladies – a ministry that makes quilts for Still Creek Ranch, a children's home in Simonton, TX.
