Beatrice “TICHE” Ybarra, 80, of Big Spring, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at Covenant Medical Center. Vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
Beatrice was born July 7, 1939 in Howard County to Claudia Ramirez Munoz and Mariano Munoz. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She married Jose “Joe” Ybarra on September 25, 1957 in Big Spring Texas. He preceded her in death on September 9, 2008. Beatrice was a homemaker but had also worked at the VA Medical Center in the Canteen. Beatrice loved playing bingo.
She is survived by her sons Joe “Jody “ Ybarra, Jr., of Leander, Albert Ybarra of Big Spring, Johnny Ybarra of Leander, Jimmy Ybarra of Big Spring, Jerry Ybarra of Leander and Andy Ybarra (Trinie Catano) of Midland; one daughter: Amanda Ybarra of Lago Vista; one sister: Mary Ruiz (Johnny) of Coahoma; nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister: Tomas “Tommie” Regalado and three brothers: Johnny Munoz, Samuel Munoz and Jose “Quate” Munoz.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Ybarra, Jerry Ybarra, Jr., JohnMathew Ybarra, Michael Munoz, Orlando Munoz and Simon Munoz.
