Florence Virginia Winfield, 73, of Big Spring, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at her residence. She has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. The family will be holding a visitation Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel at 10:00 AM. Dwain Fox will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Florence was born October 9, 1938 in Fredicksburg, Virginia and graduated from Chamberlain High School. She married John Phillip Winfield June 1, 1957. She worked for years in retail and was a loving wife, mother of five children and five grandchildren.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include William Winfield of San Antonio; Katherine Woodward of Newport News, Virginia; Little John Winfield of Big Spring; Erin Carroll of Big Spring; and Darlynn and Kirk Allen of Big Spring. Her grandchildren are Aaron Carroll, Brian Carroll, Justin Moss, and Kyler Allen all residing in Big Spring.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John Phillip Winfield; her father, Frank Way; her mother, Lucy Way; and her two brothers, Thomas Way and Ivan Patterson.
