Dalton "Dogie" White
June 28, 1919 - May 1, 2018
Dalton “Dogie” White, 98, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born June 28, 1919 in Eastland County, Texas and married Virginia Dare Yeager in March of 1940. She preceded him in death in August of 1987.
Dogie worked as a welder at Cosden Refinery before joining the United States Navy and serving during World War II. He worked as a dairyman for over 30 years.
Survivors include three sons, Don White and wife, Debbie, and Ron White and wife, Sherry all of Big Spring, and Terry White and wife, Sue of Kingman, Arizona; one sister, Christine Kauffman of Big Spring; and numerous grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, C. W. and Emma Mullican White; three brothers, Freddie White, Wilford White and Ray White; and two sisters, Velma Talkington and Maxine Gallaway.
The family suggests memorials to the DAV.
