*Harriet is the daughter of James Hampton Bright and Martha Elizabeth nee WARD Bright.
Harriet first married William Frazier Whiten. He was a casualty of the Civil War.
Second, Harriet married Elijah A. Dodd on November 24, 1861 in Habersham County, GA. To this union were born these known children: Samantha E., Katherine E., Mary Etta, Lucy Evelyn, William Henry, Louisa Jane, Nancy E., Elijah Lee and Robert Loranzy Dodd.
