*Obituary Joe H. Ward
Joe Ward, 61, of Colorado City, formerly of Big Spring, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Mike Foster, officiating.
Joe was born June 19, 1956 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Mary Leuna Ward and James Berkly Ward.
He married Nancy Phillips on July 6, 1998 in Big Spring.
He had worked for A&N Electric and several others. He was currently employed by Lone Star Electric.
He loved fishing and camping.
He lived most of his life in Big Spring but had lived in Colorado City since 1998.
He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Ward of Colorado City; two daughters: Laura Evans of Big Spring and Kristi Hobbs of Roswell, NM; two sons: Larry Joe Ward and Stacey Gibbs of Greenwood, MO; two brothers: Freddy Ward and James Ward, both of Big Spring; three sisters: Della Riffe of Andrews, Mary Havens of Colorado City and Debbie Harbuck of Coahoma and six grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Donald Gene Ward and a sister: Bernell Pickett.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Brooks, Stevie Ward, Allen Ray Ward, Christopher Ward, Larry Don Towery, Delmas Ward, Michael Feaster and Shannon Feaster.
