*Obituary

Jewel Marie "Jerry" Mobley Moye, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor, born in El Paso, Texas on June 12, 1924, passed peacefully at the age of 87 on March 22, 2012.

Jerry grew up in West Texas. She was very close to her mother, Ruby and in later years would refer to herself as her mother's sidekick. After attending beauty school in the 1940's, Jerry began her career as a successful hair stylist in Houston. She later moved to Austin and raised her five children while simultaneously pursuing her profession as a real-estate entrepreneur beginning in the 1960's; a passion she shared with her mother.

During her life, Jerry enjoyed spending time on the water and cherished her days at her home on Lake Buchanan swimming with her children and grandchildren. Jerry was known for her quick wit, fierce independence, love of politics and a great set of high heels. She spent her last days amongst her loving family.

Jerry was survived by her children Donna Bergstrom, Laura Current and her husband David Current, Scott Moye, and Rock Moye and his wife Janel Moye; by grandchildren Chris Current, Elysha Current Stanley, Amanda Bergstrom, Vanessa Current, Robert Moye, Dustin Current, and Amberly Moye; and by great-grandchildren Taylor Stanley, Jack Stanley, Alex Stanley, and many other friends and relatives throughout Texas.

She was preceded in death by H.R. Moye, Brok Moye, Vernon Mobley, Ruby Doyal and James Wallace Mobley.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the Manor United Methodist Church, located at 510 North Burnet Street, Manor, Texas 78653. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. at the Grit Cemetery, 4 miles west of Mason, Texas on Highway 29.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Bluegrass at 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504, or a local hospice group of your choice. Gwanny, you are the wind beneath our wings. We'll be seeing you . . .
