*Obituary
Funeral services for Wanda Sue Estes, age 68, of Lake Brownwood, will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in the Grit Cemetery near Mason. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Ms. Estes died Sunday evening in a Brownwood nursing facility.
Sue was born on September 17, 1945 to Cecil and Leola Mae (Hill) Koerner. She worked for a number of years as a dietary supervisor for Ranger Care Center.
Sue is survived by two daughters, Angela Rice of Brownwood and Kandy Byrd of Oklahoma, two sons, Bradley Day of Brownwood and Stanley Keith Day of Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, Rocky Martinez and wife Jodie of Brownwood, Cory Williams of Brady, Kimberly Sargent and husband Brandon of Anson, Jasmine Tumminelo and husband Mason of Brownwood, Misti Ramirez and husband Mike of Virginia, Joshua Day of Brady, Tristan Day of Brady, and Traven Day of Richland Springs, and two brothers, Cecil Koerner and Ray Gene Koerner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Stanley Day and Gillmer Barnes, two sisters, and one brother.
*When Wanda Sue Koerner was born on September 17, 1945, in Eastland, Texas, her father, Cecil, was 28, and her mother, Leola, was 30. She was married three times and had one son and one daughter. She died on December 29, 2013, in Brownwood, Texas, at the age of 68, and was buried in Mason, Texas.
