Mary Jo (Box) Tune, 92, of Big Spring, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, December 10, 2021 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.

Mary was born on July 5, 1929 in Iraan, Texas to parents Bonnie W. Box and Ava Eugenia (Hickman) Box.

She married Bill Tune, September 13, 1947 in Stanton, Texas.

Mary was the first graduate of the Betty B. School of Beauty in Big Spring, and worked as a hairdresser for about 15 years. She then went on to work as a secretary for the VA until retirement.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Linda Conway; son, Tommy Tune and wife Donna; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bonnie and Ava Box; husband, Bill Tune; son-in-law, Larry Bob Conway; two grandsons, Ehren Tune and Larry Don Harp.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to ETLD Memorial Scholarship Fund at Howard College, or First United Methodist Church.
