Linus M. Tucker, 96, of Big Spring, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
Linus was born on September 26, 1920 to Willie Watson Tucker and W.M. “Bud” Tucker.
He grew up in Mingus and he came to Big Spring in 1941.
He married his childhood sweetheart, Frances Sims in 1943 in Fort Worth, Texas. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2002, after 59 years of marriage.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was member the 1st United Methodist Church.
He worked for T&P Railroad and Missouri. He retired in 1985 after 44 years with Union Pacific.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Stake Plains Lodge #598 A.F. & A.M. and Big Spring Chapter 67, Order of The Eastern Star.
He is survived by two nieces, several cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
