Services for Nellie Henry, 103, of Sweetwater and formerly of Lamesa, will be held on Saturday, June 02, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Cora Brown officiating. Burial will follow in **Lamesa Memorial Park** under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 01, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Branon Funeral Home.
Nellie was born on October 29, 1908, in Milam County, TX, to Simon and Nellie Sledge. She married Jessie Henry on September 21, 1929 in Milam Co. He preceded her in death on February 05, 1976. Nellie worked for the Lamesa General Hospital in the housekeeping department for many years. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Lamesa and also attended the Greater Zion Baptist Church of Sweetwater.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie; her parents; 4 sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her great-great nephews and nieces including her caregiver's; Harriet Hill and her children; Christopher Hill, Christy Hill and Christian Jenkins.
