Funeral services for Jewell Jefferson, 75, of Lamesa, will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2009, at 10 a.m., at Faith Temple with Dan Collom and Jody Wilson officiating.
Burial will follow in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Branon Funeral Home
Jewell died on Saturday September 26, 2009 in Lamesa.
She was born on November 24, 1933 to Eva and Robert Bell in Summerset, Kentucky. She married Robert Delos Jefferson on October 12, 1967 in Lamesa. He preceded her in death in May of 2008.
Jewell was a caregiver and belonged to the Faith Temple Church for many years.
She is survived by her son, Robert Wayne Bolton, of Omaha, Nebraska; granddaughter, Shane Bolton, of Pineville, Louisiana.; sister, Ina Jean Donoto of Fresno, California; brother, Michael McGehee, of Palmer, Alaska; step-son, Robert Jefferson, of Escalon, Ca.; step-daughter, Regina McKee, of Manteca, California; step-son, Harry Martin, of Escalon, California; sisters-in-law, Janie Chambers of Brownfield, and Lisha Land of Abilene; brothers-in-law, Henry Land and wife, Kori, of Lamesa, and Clay Land and wife, Cindy, of Lubbock; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She also is preceded in death by her parents, Eva and Robert Bell.
