Yvonne D. Vanarsdale-Barlow was the 4th of six siblings. Born April 26, 1952, to the lateWillie G. Vanarsdale and Geneva Draine Vanarsdale in Savannah, Georgia.
She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church. She graduated in 1970 from Killeen High School in Killeen, Texas. After obtaining her high school diploma, she attended Central Texas Junior College in Killeen, TX. While in college, she met her husband, Leroy Barlow. On July 30, 1971, they were married and were blessed with two children.
She began her career in the medical profession in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She later began working at Seton Healthcare in Austin, Texas where she retired after 20 years of employment.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a loving husband, Leroy Barlow; two children: Tony D. Barlow of Georgetown, TX, and Toya D. Justice of Austin, TX; four siblings: VirginiaRae Whitfield of Arizona, Debra White of Cedar Park, TX, Veronica Peters of Killeen, TX, and Kamisha Stevens of Florida; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie G. Vanarsdale Sr. and Geneva Vanarsdale; two brothers: Willie G. Vanarsdale Jr., and Vincent J. Vanarsdale; and one grandson, Darian Barlow.
